OPETH: More Mexican, South American Dates Announced
January 6, 2009Swedish progressive metal band OPETH has scheduled the following dates in South America and Mexico:
Mar. 28 - Monterrey, Mexico - Café Iguana
Mar. 29 - México City, Mexico - Circo Volador
Apr. 01 - Bogota, Colombia - Teatro Metro
Apr. 03 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - The End
Apr. 04 - Santiago, Chile - Teatro Caupolicán
Apr. 05 - São Paulo, Brazil - Santana Hall
OPETH's Mikael Åkerfeldt (guitar, vocals) and Fredrik Akesson (guitar) will attend this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, which is being held January 15-18 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The signing session will take place at the PRS booth (5320, Hall B) on Saturday, January 17 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. The question-and-answer session will be held on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at the PRS booth.
Important: The NAMM show is **NOT** open to the public. The only attendees are NAMM member companies and their invited guests.
OPETH recently released a very special digital EP called "Burden" featuring two rare B-sides, including a much-sought-after cover of ALICE IN CHAINS' "Would?" and a track previously available for a limited time only, "Mellotron Heart".
